Gender Fluidity is a mini project I’ve been working on lately, the whole inspiration for this came up when I was randomly doing my fashion research and I stumbled on a couple of men’s clothing apparel being adored by female models and in all honesty the styling was perfect, looked so good, and this got me thinking, if men’s apparel can be styled so well on women, can it go for men too? between disclaimer oh, this isn’t a post about cross dressing or anything don’t get me wrong.
So basically in this post I’m showing that the lines between sexes isn’t rigid as we thought, it’s more fluid. Naturally accepted colors as female colors, are now being styled to kill on the opposite sex
my view goes thus: “I feel fashion has gotten to that level of maturity that allows across board poaching and execution of ideas and concepts and this further widens the fashion scope making it more exciting”.
My post today is an example of one of my many visual representations ,it’s a collaboration with your very own mirabel in this post we try to explore the borders of gender fluidity as it can be seen in the post I’m wearing a flowery colored print Tailore shirt, turquoise blue palazzo pants and a pair of white sandals, so to accessorize I put on a gold dropping pendant with a pearl crest sitting pretty right in the middle of it, generally these prints and colors I have combined are more found in a ladies wardrobe, but here I am rocking it and I advice you also to try it out. Check out mirabel’s blog as she explains the theme from her own point of view and visual representation.
